Sapphires are a naturally occurring precious gem stone. Part of the corundum family, sapphires are one of the hardest precious stones and are found in a range of fancy colours.
Versatile and practical, sapphires are a beautiful stone that will last a lifetime!
Sapphires are the second hardest stone
Sapphires are one of the hardest stones, second only to diamonds.
However, diamonds have around four times the absolute hardness.
Don’t let this discourage you from sapphires, they are still extremely hard! Being the second most popular stone in engagement rings, sapphires are made to last.

Available in a variety of fancy colours
While sapphires are typically found in blue, there is also a wide range of fancy colours.
Some shades of fancy sapphires are: pink, brown, orange, green, yellow and parti sapphires which have a combination of two or three colours.

Parti Sapphires – a hidden gem
Parti sapphires are still relatively unknown when it comes to mainstream jewellery design.
Primarily found in Australia, these stones often have shades of yellow, green and blue. Every angle you see them from looks like a new stone!
We absolutely love them in the shop and utilise them in a variety of pieces. Check out some of jewellery designs using parti sapphires:
